Michele Nestor, is the founder of Nestor Resources, Inc. and has served as its President since it inception in 1996,
Michele's professional experience has provided her with an insider's understanding of family owned businesses, corporate operations and local government.
She is known for her ability to successfully develop public/private partnerships and encourage private investment to achieve local goals.
With over 30 years of managerial experience she has continued to advance her career in the waste and recycling industry. Her prior positions have included roles in governmental and public affairs, regulatory compliance, environmental permitting, business development, marketing and research. Ms. Nestor is recognized for her work at the state and national level.
In addition to running her own business, Ms. Nestor is a frequent keynote speaker and conference presenter. She is a regular columnist for Waste360 the industry trade magazine.
Michele is Chair of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Recycling Markets Center located at Penn State University. She serves as Chair of the PADEP Solid Waste Advisory Committee and the Recycling Fund Advisory Committee.
Michele is a member of the National Waste & Recycling Association and its Women's Council. She is an officer on the Board of Directors of the Keystone Chapter of SWANA and former Vice President of the national Recycling Coalition.
